I hesitate to add this because it is our little secret in our area. Not a lot of people go here. 5 minute drive. The main trail follows a creek that has a small waterfall on it. There are small water holes for kids to play in. The trail is a little hard only that is goes up, then crosses the creek, then goes down. Beautiful wild flowers in the spring.

Food Scene
Filo is a great place for supper and pastries. It is very close by, which makes it a great place when you do not feel like driving downtown. The only down side I have found is the coffee.

Grove Park Inn is a historic Inn in Asheville. They offer great restaurants with views of the mountains. It is a nice place to have a cocktail on the deck. They have a great gallery. And their spa is amazing!

There is good food there as well if you are needing a snack/lunch/dinner. !2 Bones BBQ is just down the road (Yummm). !2 Bones closes at 5:00pm. White Duck Taco offers good tacos. White Duck also has a store downtown. There is the Wedge Brewery with a food truck if you are looking for a beer. Finally there is All Soul's Pizza which is one of our favorite restaurants in Asheville.
