Parks & Nature
Echo Lake Beach is great if you have little kids but if you have older children and are up for some adventure try the Echo Lake Ledges which are before Echo Lake on 102 accross from Acadia Mt. Trail. A little hike through the woos brings you out to a fun spot on a pristine lake where you can jump or dive from a 5 ft ledge.

It's free, more accesable and better for small children than Sand Beach there are no steps and the water is shallow with no wave action. There's a short path through the park from the restrooms which will take you to Seal Harbor where you can get a sandwich or a drink.

Sand Beach is beautiful with it's rocky coastline and Mt view of the Beehive. The water is freezing and the wind is sometimes strong but our family swims there and it's a favorite scenic spot for anytime of day or year.
