Take in the view of the lakes and the 12th century Trinity Abbey. Enjoy the private walks around the island, following badger/deer trails, listen to the dawn chorus, meditate, read, write, take photographs, fish, take a trip by canoe, boat or float tube. From the cabin you have a choice of views one direction the mountains and the other a beautiful view of Carrigallen town lake. Two minutes drive into Carrigallen, 12 minutes walk. Carrigallen has 5 pubs 2 takeaways and a lovely coffee shop. 2 shops both with deli counters. when your at the property it feels like your in the middle of the countryside no noise no light polution. There are lots of fishing lakes, walks, all within the area. mountains to climb a 35 minute drive away.

Toddys Cottage is suitable for a family, couples or small group of friends who want a break away in a rural peaceful setting. Nestled in beautiful country farmland and only 5 minute drive to local town Ballinagh where there is shops, pubs, restaurants, & pharmacy. Beautiful area for walking & fishing as Cavan is renowned for its rivers and lakes. 3 New stables available to rent separately and also Toddy’s Hideaway studio is new on same grounds sleeping 2 and can be rented also.

Magical gothic 3 bedroom mini-castle.

The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an small adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.

There are various pubs and restaurants in Killeshandra and the nearby Shantully bar/restaurant Kelly Bar in Killeshandra have live music.

Peacock House

The Peacock House is located within the Lismore Demesne. It was once the dairy and workers cottage. From the 1980s onwards it was used to house peacocks, giving the cottage its name. After being left dormant for 80 years it was lovingly restored three years ago. These days it is a bright and cozy cottage offering tranquil views of mature trees and park land. There is private access to forest walks along the Doney Stream just outside the doorstep.
