Experience the peace of the meandering Mooi River, nature, livestock and the quiet bustle of an active farmyard. Splash in the river, hike trails on the hills, or relax and braai on the verrandah. The cottage is self catering, and close to Mooi River town for supplies or takeaways. There is 4km of rough dirt road to access the farm (high clearance vehicles recommended)

We like to think that we have the best of both worlds here at Yellowwoods. The benefits of farm life, yet easy access to cafes, restaurants, bicycles trails, farmers markets, golf courses and schools. Only 2kms off the N3, we are easily accessible and very easy to find. We are a little farm, so there may be some ‘farm noise’ about and general day-to-day goings on! The Goat House has an outside table/chairs and braai facilities. WiFi and DSTV included.

Our wooden cabin over the lake offers a cozy and comfortable stay, with stunning views over the lake and the forests around the property. Enjoy the bird life of which there are a few species. You can enjoy the tranquility, or fish from the deck, or explore the nearby attractions. The cabin is self catering, semi off-grid equipped with a gas geyser supplying hot water to the shower, and we have an ensuite septic based toilet.

The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming.
