From the camp, you can drop a line in the water, swim with the kids, kayak with friends, or read a book in the hammock. It's only minutes from the southern gateway to the New River Gorge and about 40 minutes to Winterplace Ski Resort. Close to everything but away from it all!

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Nestled high among the trees, our petite treehouse invites you for an adventure. On our expansive deck, you can grill and dine al fresco, amidst the trees. As dawn breaks, you may spot a bear or hear the gentle whisper of the creek where my grandmother used to frolic 90 years ago. Despite being in nature, you'll have access to a hot shower, a toilet, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker.

Built for $500.00 dollars "back-in-the-day," the Earlehurst Cottage was inhabited by The Carters, a humble, cute old country couple. Here, they raised two daughters. Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved. Pets stay for free!
