The local pub & village shop are just 10 minutes walk. Perfect for Glyndebourne, Charleston & Firle weddings or explore nearby towns of Lewes or Brighton.

My house has been described as light and cosy. It is filled with books, art and interesting things - a home from home, not the usual holiday let. Nestled within the South Downs National Park this medieval village has independent and quirky shops, with lots of choices of where to eat & drink. Fabulous walks incl. the Downs, riverside, and nearby the sea, forest & vineyard. In the winter there is a log burner, in the summer a sunny walled garden. A permit is available for parking close by.

'What Knot' is a converted carriage house. It is self contained and set in a pretty country garden with parking in the medieval village of Alfriston. It has a sitting room and kitchen on the ground floor, bedroom with king size bed, toilet and shower room in the eaves on first floor. It's perfect for couples wanting a peaceful break, visitors to Glyndebourne, walkers/cyclists to rest after a long day on the South Downs! It is 100m from the South Downs Way.
