Dunstanburgh Castle is an easy walk from the house, no vehicles are allowed on this walk. Harbourside has full central heating and is a very popular holiday home for 12 months a year overlooking the sea. Dolphins are often seen just off the coast . Golf courses are nearby, as well as Alnwick Castle, Harry Potter's school, being only 8 miles away.

The spectacular ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle are a few minutes stroll away on the coast, as is the long distance coastal footpath of St. Oswalds Way. There are several beaches in short driving distance, the tree lined track which serves the cottages provides a pleasant walk of ten minutes to the local pub.
