Highfield commands an elevated position giving panoramic views of Selkirk and the surrounding hills. Situated on The Borders Abbey Way there is easy access to excellent walking and cycling routes. For the more adventurous we are a short drive to great mountain biking routes at Innerleithen and Peebles. Melrose & Tweedbank railway station is a 10 min drive, Edinburgh is just under an hour away.

The open plan lounge/kitchen is well-equipped while the ensuite open plan bedroom is cosy with a bright bathroom with bath/shower. Caravan at The Keep

This is a large 35x 12 foot static caravan , situated on its own hillside site on the outskirts of Gattonside looking across to the town of Melrose and the Eildon hills . It has been rented out in the summer for about 17 years and enjoys return visitors . It’s a vintage 90’s caravan but comes fully equipped and is clean and comfortable. Linen provided . It you are looking to relax and get away from it all , this is for you . Kitchen updated this year and bedrooms painted ( 2026)

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. My place, close to transport links, is a perfect base for country or city. The flat, originally a 1920’s bungalow, is in the downstairs part of the house separated by a locked door and we live in the upstairs part of the house. We’re in the heart of the historic Scottish Borders with beautiful Edinburgh only 50 minutes away by train. Why not relax with a glass of wine in the private garden, jacuzzi bath or snooker room or curl up on the window seat with a good book.
