Wintertime readiness: When we have snow, 4-wheel or All-wheel drive will be best. Watch the weather. Un plug at Tree House. There is no Wi-Fi. We provide a TV w/ DVDs. There’s a cabin smart phone for your use if you do not have phone service. A 15 minute drive takes you to Thomas, WV for food and art and music (and Wi-Fi).Five more minutes and you are in Davis for Blackwater Falls State Park. A few more miles down the road find two alpine ski areas and White Grass Ski Touring Center.

Brent's Cabin

Enjoy our cozy and comfortable cabin situated on 20 private wooded acres near several trout streams, George Washington National Forest, Virginia Game Commission, hiking trails, and caves. Brent's Cabin sleeps four, including a double bed and two twin beds in the loft. For skiing we are 1 hour and 30 minutes from snowshoe and 30 minutes from The Homestead. For fishing we are 5 minutes away from the Bullpasture, 10 minutes from the Cowpasture, and 25 minutes from the Jackson River.

Located in the pristine Mill Gap Valley. At night you can reach out and touch the stars. National Forrest is close by too. Enjoy the peace and tranquility that can only be offered in Highland county. The farm along with our Maple Syrup is certified Organic. From our apple trees to our hay and pastures. We are Organic! If you would like a tour of our farm or maple operation, let us know! The Loggers Cabin is just that, owned by a local Logger. Recently restored & Hand Crafted with timber right off this very property. This is a 150 AC farm & bird hunting preserve. Relax in the hot tub, hike, Bring your ATV’s/UTV’s - ride for miles down local backroads. Plenty of space to park your boat or trailer. Public lands nearby offer fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, etc. 20 minutes from the popular Stonewall Resort. (NO WIFI, AT&T & Some other providers do have service

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape at Molly Moocher, a tiny house nestled among boulders in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. 7 minutes from the Gauley River and Summersville lake. 19 minutes to the New River National Park. Located on 100 private acres with hiking trails. Relax in the hot tub or at the boulder-top fire pit. My wife and I live locally. We are happy to serve you and answer any questions. {Entering the bed loft requires climbing a ladder.}

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. This two-bedroom cabin sits on the bank of the Holly River. Enjoy the peaceful sound of the river as you relax on the covered front porch. The cabin has an outside fire ring and a beautiful fireplace inside for those chillier days and nights. Driftwood Cabin is 2.25 miles from the entrance of Holly River State Park and 1 mile from Holly River Grocery. We have an abundance of fishing, hunting, hiking, horse trails, four-wheeler trails or simply kick back and read a book.

From the back yard, you can access hiking trails which connect to the Observatory's many hiking and biking trails. Cass Scenic Railroad and the Greenbrier River are only 6 miles away.
