This old dairy milking parlour was converted into accommodation some years ago but has recently (2024) benefited from a complete makeover. Welcome to Ty Melyn (Yellow House), a stone cottage built in the 1850s, set on a single end road in the Rheidol Valley, in its own grounds that form part of a Nature Reserve, Coed Simdde Lwyd. You will stay in a self catered annex attached to the main house. With its own private entrance it is a self-contained unit with a bedroom, living room, walk in wet room and a kitchen. Every room benefits from central heating and the living room contains a wood burning stove for those cosy evenings.

Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites. The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food.
