During this walking tour guests will have the chance to meet the city of Zagreb, not only learning its history and facts but also seeing and feeling the city as it is behind the scenes. We will try to find as many mysterious symbols in the city as possible, we will see the "Grounded solar system"- a well-known street art installation representing our solar system, with the planets placed all across the city, but we will also get to know something about Zagreb's history and tradition as well. We will walk past some of Croatia's most famous palaces, churches and other important historical and modern buildings. We will stop to take some great photos at a few panoramic views so you can bring this unforgettable experience home with you and always remember Zagreb. Guests are recommended to wear comfortable shoes, but the walk is easy and it takes about 2,5 hours. Other things to note You should be relaxed, lightly dressed, not in a hurry and willing to hear interesting legends, stories and facts about our capital country.

In this history based tour we will talk about recent and far history of Zagreb and Croatia including WWII, war in exYugoslavia, comunist and nazi regime etc. As master's degree historian I will try to answer all of your questions and give you croatian perspective of those interesting times in our hisotry. Meet me at Nikole Zrinjskog square in front of the meteorological pillar. At first we will explore Downtown-park Zrinjevac, the most beautiful park of Zagreb's green horseshoe, and Jelačić square, main square which is dedicated to one of the most important figure in croatian history. Our tour will continue to Zagreb's cathedral from 11th century and to Dolac-the oldest open farmer's market in the city. Just few minutes later we will reach to Tkalčićeva street, nowadays street of coffee shops, bars and pubs but also a street which hides medieval history of the city. I will take you to the shortest funicular in the world which will bring you to the Upper town of Zagreb. Tour will proceed to St.Mark's square-center of political life in Croatia, Parliament, Goverment and constitutional Court are located there, but also beautiful church of St. Mark from 13th century. A short stroll through Stone Gate, only remained gates of medieval Zagreb, will bring us back to the Main square where the tour will finish.

The unique experience lasts 2 hours . I will show and explain the basic flameworking technique. After an introduction about glass and safety, you will get a chance to work on a torch. Under my supervision, you will get the opportunity to make a glass blown vase and/or pendant. All your glass art will be annealed in a kiln for you. Pieces will be available for pick up or shipping one week after the class has finished. International shipping is included. You will hear about our Grounded Solar System and see some planets. We will visit Cathedral from outside and find out interesting facts about it. We will explore Zagreb main farmers' market and find out why it is called Belly of the town. You will taste there something very authentic for Zagreb. We will visit Tkalciceva street and you will hear about the river that is still running below it. We will go to Upper town where you will light a candle in Stone Gate. You will hear about haunting witches, legend of Black Queen and see our most important monuments located there. You will find out interesting facts about Zagreb and Croatia, learn about most important people in our history, get to know our mysterious legends and of course be introduced to our culture and costumes (like drinking coffee for hours). As a Zagreb resident, I will share my perspective and give you my recommendations about anything you want to know about Zagreb - from art to gastronomy :) During Christmas Market I will give you best recommendations what to visit and what to try. After meeting you in front of the king Tomislav statue on Trg Kralja Tomislava, our first task will be to instruct you how to drive E-scooter. You will have enough time for practicing before we start. Once you get the feeling of it and become relaxed enough to ride it with an ease, we are heading to discover Zagreb sights. Taste Zagreb Food Tour
For all the foodies who love to explore local cuisines! During a 3-hour tour, you will enjoy a variety of dishes from all parts of Croatia, ranging from traditional to modern classics, and find out more about local customs. It's a fun and informative tasting tour to the largest green market, but also local restaurants, and food shops in the very city centre of Zagreb. Most of the tour will take place at the largest and most popular green market. It's a place where you will feel the local vibe while strolling through domestic food, fruits, vegetables, meat, bread, and dairy products. There you will taste some 'breakfast specialties' such as local cottage cheese with cream, and burek, a local pastry dish filled with meat. Meat lovers will also enjoy ćevapćići - a traditional minced meat classic grilled to perfection, while fish lovers might prefer fish specialties in one of the small restaurants at the green market. You cannot leave Zagreb without tasting the most famous Zagreb dish – štrukli, a delicious pastry with cottage cheese. Next you will walk the World War II underground tunnels while being introduced to the history of Croatia and Zagreb through the 20th century including the World War II, almost 50 years of communist Yugoslavia and the fall of communism in Croatia through the Homeland War. The tour finishes in the basement used by locals as a shelter during the air raids on Zagreb in the 1990s where the details of the Homeland War are presented through an exhibition and a video presentation.

Painting party at Art Bottega - Wine&Paint Studio in Zagreb
As soon as you arrive, you will be offered with a glass of wine. You are free to sip as much as you like through the rest of the night FOR FREEEE!! For those who are not into alcoholic drinks, we have some soft drinks available too. Our lovely host will take you to your seats and explain what we will be actually doing with all those paint, canvases and brushes. You can rarely go hiking from the capital city's main square. Join us on the Zagreb Hike & Taste tour, which starts from the Main Square and goes up to the Nature Park Medvednica on Mt Medvednica. Unlike regular hiking, where you climb for hours, you will go down the hill on this reversed hiking tour. Still, it will be a pretty demanding walk but way more enjoyable. You will climb the mountain with a new cable car, with a magnificent view of the city and surroundings. On the hilltop, you will visit the TV Tower viewpoint and enjoy views stretching all the way to the Alps. After enjoying stunning vistas on the hilltop, your guide will take you down the hill through the deep forest, picking the best trails to the Medvedgrad fortress. A magnificent view of the city and the mountaintop stretches from the fortress's walls. From the fortress, your guide will seek to get you out of the woods. Leaving the big forest behind, you will head to one fine restaurant where you will taste traditional Zagreb dishes in a three-course meal. After this delicious meal, your guide will take you to the mountain bus and tram to return you to the Main Square. Day trip to Ljubljana & Lake Bled with a minivan from Zagreb
Set off in a small group (max. 8 people) from Zagreb and enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Slovenian & Croatian countryside. Our licensed driver guide will get you familiar with the itinerary for the day, as well as information about the sites you are visiting and the general history of Slovenia. Approximately one hour into the drive, we will reach our first destination, Slovenia’s Capital Ljubljana. There is so much to do at Bled, especially during the tourist season (April to October). It is impossible to see and experience everything in one afternoon, this is why your guide will help you organise time according to your preferences. Go for a swim at the lake, ride a bicycle, sail on traditional Pletna boat to the Bled Island, explore the Bled castle or just simply go for a stroll. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy a scenic ride back to Zagreb.
