Take a trip back in time at the Fairhope Museum of History about halfway between Gulf Shores and Mobile. Kids will love the old time jail cell and 1935 fire truck on display in this historic building. Admission is free!

The museum features changing exhibits as well as permanent displays. The permanent displays, mainly located on the first floor of the museum, depict a cross section of Fairhope's history, including information on Fairhope Single Tax, Fairhope's founders, local Native Americans, the people's railroad and much more! Every Tuesday the museum hosts "Tea for Two," where guests get to enjoy tea, cookies, and a guest speaker. There is a $2 fee to help pay for the cookies
