Great bar, friendly bartenders, and great dinner and brunch for those who want to explore what the Buffalo food scene has to offer. The locally custom-roasted coffee is particularly good here, and if the shop is open you can purchase some to take home. A former psychiatric ward, the space has undergone an extensive renovation and is decorated with a rotating selection of art from local artists, and is well worth a walk around inside.

Just a couple minutes walk away. Currently closed, but you can still take a peaceful walk in the front lawn and gaze at the architectural beauty.

Now here's a real turn around story. Built in the 1800's as the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane, is now a chic urban resort. This building, with its classic European style, remained vacant for more than 40 years. Striking from the outside as well as the interior. Wish to linger and soak up the atmosphere, stop into their restaurant or coffee shop.
