This is a great place for the kids. Since its opening in 1997, the Center for Wildlife Education has grown into one of the leading environmental education facilities in Georgia. At over 17 acres in size, the Center supports Georgia Southern University’s environmental education programs. The mission of the Center is to provide wildlife encounters for the school children and citizens of this region, successfully measured by the over 17,500 children and adults educated on-site annually. Additionally, the Wildlife Center takes its programs “on the road,” presenting over 100 off-site programs annually across the country. With the use of live animals, program participants are educated on numerous species of wildlife native to Georgia and the U.S., their habitats and the impact humans have on our environment.

A great little spot to see wildlife up close. They have daily animal encounters, great paths to see animals, and a beautiful play area. Definitely worth it for kids.

This Education center is located on the campus of Georgia Southern University. It is open to the public and requires only a small fee to enter and check out live wildlife! It's great for kids or if you are just a naturist! They have a list of animals at the center. We provided a small list to show some of the animals they have! Eagles Reptiles Amphibians Waterfowl and Wading Birds Mammals
