The heart of the Salzburg Lake District are the lakes, Mattsee, Grabensee, Obertrumersee - (the three also known as the Trumerseen) and the Wallersee, north of the Mozart city of Salzburg. This is a wonderful place for a drive or to cycle around. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive there from Hinterthal so will be a full day experience. There are 600 kilometres of well-constructed cycling tracks leading over hills and dales with superb views, through thickets and along unspoiled lakeside banks for both sporty and leisure-time cyclists. There are 7 bike hire points and service stations, also 20 charging points for electric bicycles, for either a random cycling tour or one of the 14 organised bike tours.
