Clontarf is an area famous as a key location of the Battle of Clontarf in 1014. Clontarf castle has been there since 1172. It has now been modernized and has a bar, cabaret venue, and hotel.

Nice,if you want to enjoy a castle scene.They have a number of restauarants,some quite pricey that need to be booked. For simple food at better prices just eat in the bar.Nice and casual but only serve in bar till 8 or 9. Or just go and enjoy a pint.
