- Installed in 2005 by Nikola Bašić, immensely popular Sea Organ, has given a new dimension to the city's waterfronts. Sea Organ is constructed from holes drilled into the marble, linked to 35 organ pipes beneath the waves. These create unworldly sounds randomly dictated by the ebb and flow of the water, an unusually comforting feeling as you lie on the flat stones and sunbathe. Sea Organ is combination of art, musical architecture and science project and in 2006 won the European Prize for Urban Public Space.

The Sea Organ was built by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić in 2005 in order to redesign Zadar’s coast, and it provides the most beautiful music to Your ears, played by the blue Adriatic Sea and its waves.
