National rowing and paddling site, you can watch as some of Canada's best paddlers train. Or walk/run/bike the pathway. There are a couple of beaches, and the swimming is good. There is a playground at the Southwest end. This is part of the Shubenacadie Canal system. Connects to Sullivan's Pond (also listed here). You can rent paddle boards at Paddler's Cove, Northeast end.

Part of the Shubenacadie Canal system, Lake Banook is home to three sprint canoe and kayak clubs, two rowing clubs, and a dragon boat club. It also has a claim to be the birthplace of ice hockey.
