I have to say this is the best museum in town. An amazing collection of masks and puppets in the most beautiful setting. A must-visit if you want to know more about Indonesian arts and culture. Entrance by donation.

Close by to our villa (5min drive) is the a massive masks and puppets museum gallery. It has some amazing pieces of art and traditional Indonesian buildings. Worth a look if you are interested in Indonesian art and culture. No traffic on the way to this one as it is in our village.

Masks and puppets play an important role in Balinese and other Indonesian cultures. This collection of 1300 masks and 5700 puppets from different regions in Indonesia and around the world are housed in several antique traditional Indonesian joglos, or wooden houses.
