The "Empire State Building of Innsbruck" is also there for skiing. Take the cable way either to the top restaurant ("Seegrube") or the peak of Nordkette ("Hafele Kar"). This skiing place I recommend to experienced skiers and free riders.

INNSBRUCK mountains: Cable-car to the SEEGRUBE (1.905 m) and HAFELEKAR (2.334 m) Parking in the Congress-Parking: from this point a funicular runs from the centre of town to Hungerburg and from there you can take the cable car to the Seegrube or furtheron to Hafelekar (the return-trips cost 30,50/person) but it´s absolutely worth it. From the minute you step onto the funicular in Innsbruck, you’ll enjoy stunning views in every direction. Very beautiful view over the whole city of Innsbruck, lots of different mountains, and a variety of different valleys. Very easy to access, very spectacular rides to the top. Also a bikers, hikers and skiers paradise.

take the cable car up to the "nordkette" our "chain of mountains in the north". you have the best view possible and can relax in cozy chairs enjoying the sun. it is pricy to get up, of course you can walk it up (not in winter times)you should be very fit! you can take the bus "J" up to "hungerburg" - from there you have already a very nice view
