Local pub / hotel with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Frequented by locals and those from further afield, people tend to congregate around the open fire in the bar. It has a separate dining room and serves pub style food.

The George is situated in The Market Square in the centre of Castle Cary. The George serves delicious pub food; good value for money! A perfect stop off whilst exploring Castle Cary’s independent shops or network of footpaths.
