Rock pile that is said by some to have been the inspiration for Conan Doyle's Sherlock book 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'. Grab a crab sandwich at the Hound of the Basket Meals van in the car park!

Stunning natural rock formation on Dartmoor, great for scrambling and climbing. Nice moorland walking too. 30mins drive.

Natural rocks, the perfect place to climb and walk. Dog friendly (please use dog leads when cattle/sheep/horses are near). Take part in Dartmoor letter boxing, by bringing a box, notepad and pen and leaving a message or search for ones left on the Tor. Crag 2 Mount offer rock climbing sessions here, highly recommended for all ages. Please contact them for further info. Read up on the legends surrounding Hound Tor or visit Jays Grave, less than a mile from the Tor. My favourite Tor on the Moors. 30 minutes drive. Close to Widecombe on the Moor and Haytor Rocks.
