There are quite a few good Thai places in Edinburgh (Thai Orchid on Johnston Terrace being our favourite). This is the closest of the good ones.

Awarded a “Bib Gourmand” in the Michelin Guide for 2015. ‘The best Thai restaurant in Scotland’ — The Times And it's next door to the flat! I go here all the time, surprisingly reasonable.

Brilliant and tasty Thai restaurant. Not the cheapest. It is however great for food and service. A walk through the Meadows will take you there in 20 minutes or a bus / cab will drop you off in nearer 10.
