The Compasses is within walking distance: less than mile away. Beautiful country pub, low ceilings, beams, open fire, great ambience and good service. Excellent selection of local beers and ales, with a fine wine list set to compliment your food. The menu changes frequently, with food sourced locally and within season. Something for everyone. This pub is worth a visit for the ancient atmosphere - very low dark beamy ceiling, old farm implements on walls, cosy fire, small and intimate. Sit outside in the summer. Food is very typical english - good roasts.
