The only lighthouse on coastal midcoast maine to be open to visitors 7 days a week from Mother's Day to Columbus Day [10:30am to 5:00pm staffed by knowledgeable volunteers] THAT YOU CAN CLIMB the staircase TO THE TOP to the lamproom for a spectacular view of Monhegan Island and Penobscot Bay. It's $3 pp to get into the park but no charge to climb the tower. The Town of Bristol ME runs the park and charges [and keeps] the $3 park fee. Upkeep and preservation of the Coast Guard owned and leased to American Federation of Lighthouses is solely by the donations of visitors to the lighthouse as a 'thank you' to the many volunteers of the AFL Chapter "Friends of Pemaquid Point Lighthouse". Gifts are available for taking at every level of donation. Court is a Docent at the Lighthouse.
