If you want to see a variety of Appalachian and other American country dance styles performed in one place and at the same time‚ the Stompin’ Ground is your spot. The dance floor is enormous - 60 by 80 feet - with seating for nearly a thousand people. The Ivy Hill Band plays a variety of mountain and popular music‚ from old-time fiddle tunes to contemporary country hits. As soon as the first lick is played‚ dancers hit the floor with great gusto.

Only open Friday and Saturday night. This place is an amazing amount of fun to go and just watch or go and line dance or clog.
