A boat ride three miles off-shore brings you to the barrier islands of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Horse watching, shelling, fishing, birding, camping, lighthouse climbing, and touring historic villages--there’s something for everyone at Cape Lookout. Be sure to bring all the food, water, and supplies you need (and carry your trash out of the park) when visiting these remote beaches.

It is beautifully preserved Lighthouse and old village. You can experience the visitors center and then take a boat to Capr Lookout. You can also camp there. Beaches, fishing, camping, - plenty to fill a day or more.

This is a shellers paradise. Between the wild horses and beaches shells are the star. The lighthouse is beautiful and still operational. This location is approximately a 45 minute drive from the townhouse but well worth the drive.
