This is likely one of the most popular beaches on the island. So if you're looking for "quiet and secluded", probably not the best choice. But is is a local favorite, so if you're looking for fun/friendly aloha vibes, this is it! Pine Trees is a popular surf spot with several beach nooks to set up on. Any given day there will be surfers, locals bbq'ing, music playing, etc. It can be crowded, but always good times.

This is for surfers. But the shore is very long and if you go left away from surfing area, you will find a lot of interesting tide pools, great views & picnic areas . You can walk a long ways along shore & explore along lava rocks.

Pine Trees Surfing Beach is the spot in Kona where all the surfers go to catch waves and hang out. Be sure to respect the other surfers and their waves!

Great Spot to catch or watch the surf. A little tricky to get into from the south. From the highway go to NEHLA and make a u turn come back about .5 mi. till you see entrance.

This is a great beach that has easy access to tide pools for keiki (kids) and the rest of the family. There are plenty of protected tide pools to play in, and they have bathrooms available. There are usually surfers on the shore break. Avoid those areas unless you are an experienced surfer!
