This is about a 10 minute drive from cabin and rated as an easy hike. Do wear tennis shoes or hiking shoes.

St. Mary's glacier is actually a permanent snowfield for which St. Mary's gets it's namesake. The views are beautiful and you can bring skis or a snowboard year-round. It's an easy enough hike for small children, but has many variations for the more intense hikers.

Saint Mary's Glacier is a 2.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Idaho Springs, Colorado that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Be sure to bring $5 cash for parking!
