This easy hike is 1 mile each way and there is a beautiful waterfall and overlook at the end to enjoy. You can also cross the waterfall and crawl across the bluff line to access below the waterfall. It is a fun area to explore as well.

This trail leads to one of the prettiest waterfall areas in Buffalo River country. The fall is easily 50 feet tall with the surrounding bluff line offering the chance to sit for a spell and gaze off into the wilderness below. The trailhead is located exactly 3 miles from Compton (9 miles from Ponca on Hwy 43 N) down a gravel road that takes off just about opposite of the Compton Post Office. (You’ll see a wooden “Wilderness Access” sign as you approach this road from the direction of Ponca.) This is the same road you take to access the Hemmed-In Hollow trailhead.

Hideout Hollow Falls trail is a short two mile out and back trail through second growth timber leading to a high bluff that eventually winds its way to the top of a 37 ft. tall waterfall. The wet weather creek has a couple small water falls just up stream from the main fall. The bluff views and large rock formations make it worth the trip even when the water is not running. Dogs are welcome.

Great little hike into a bluff and waterfall area. You'll pass through groves of cedar and other native trees. 2 mile trail.

A moderate 2 mile round trip to some very unique and beautiful spots to observe. There are some bluff lines that you will need to be careful on if you have children. 33 miles from Ozone.
