The Olde Cross, 32 Narrowgate, Alnwick NE66 1JG - 0.4 miles Thought to have been constructed in the 1600s, this great old pub has been redeveloped into a modern trendy eating place with self-service beer pumps, tasting walls and ordering booths. They're known for their smokehouse platters, 'build your own' burgers and creative cocktails.
