The Vidradu dam is located on the famous "Transfăgărășan" road that crosses the Făgăraș Mountains. There is an awesome view and you can also find nice spots for lunch around the place.

Very imposal artificial lake (engineering jewel) sourrounded by rocks & woods. Great views and also a good trip to be planed with driving the Transfăgărășan highway &visiting the Argeș monastry.

Lacul Vidraru este cel mai adanc lac de acumulare din Romania, creat de om. Lacul este de-a dreptul impresionant, fiind unul dintre cele mai mari baraje din Europa. Este situat între Munţii Frunţii şi Ghiţu de unde puteti zarii o imagine perfecta a muntilor, in toata spleandoarea lor si unde cerul se oglindeste in apa cristalina acumulata in baraj.
