This is the oldest green oasis in Zemun and also favorite promenade for locals. Finished in 1880 and called Mali (Small) Park, it was built over the former site of Zemun’s customs quarantine area and expanded in 1886 and 1888 to become Gradski (City) Park. The stylistic buildings of the High school have been preserved. The oldest preserved monuments are Ortodox and Catholic church, along with a part of the old quarantine wall. Between the churches is a column dedicated to the French poet Lamartin. Two memorials dedicated to NOR (National Libertion Wars) are more recent historical reminders. Next to park complex are the „Pinki“ youth sports center, bult in 1974.
