Easy half mile hike to beautiful views of the entire Salt Lake valley and a pretty lake frequented by many birds, ducks and occasional deer and moose. If you are an ambitious hiker or snowshoe enthusiast, the trail leads higher to a beautiful waterfall that is just under 3 miles up the canyon trail. Locals hike this trail year-round, and the trailhead is less than 10 minutes away. Shoe/boot spikes are recommended in the winter months for traction.

Hike 2 miles to a waterfall and 3 more to a reservoir. Locals call it a "stair stepper" hike so prepare your buns and thighs for a workout.

This trail is a bit more strenuous but offers great views of both the mountains and the Salt Lake Valley.

Bell Canyon, also known as Bell's Canyon or Bells Canyon, is a circular, glacier-carved canyon adjacent to Little Cottonwood Canyon. It's accessed from two different trailheads near the entrance to Little Cottonwood Canyon. The canyon offers a number of options to hikers, including two short, easy routes to Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir, and more strenuous hikes to a set of waterfalls and Upper Bell Canyon Reservoir. Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir is appropriate for beginners and children, the lower waterfall is a strenuous intermediate hike, and the upper reservoir is a strenuous all-day hike.

Simply beautiful. slightly challenging hike upwards alongside a waterfall followed by a small reservoir, valley, and incredible mountain views. Another one of my favorite local hikes.
