Tumutumu Road (4km west of Waitomo Village) The Ruakuri Bushwalk is a beautiful loop track (30 minutes return) through limestone outcrops, caves, tunnels and native forest. Take a torch and go in the evening to see the glow worms, quite magical. Highly recommended and to top it off it’s free!

Go for a walk during the day to appreciate nature or even at night to get an amazing view of millions of glow worms for free! All you need to bring is a torch!
