There's a great documentary about the owner Kenny called "I Like Killing Flies". He's a NYC legend and the hype is real. It's a must while you're here. Located in the Essex Street Market, there's plenty to explore.

Seriously abusive owners and staff but a true NYC experience, everything you can imagine on the menu. Closes at 2pm
