Just passed Lake Wallenpaupack this sanctuary sports 10 miles of hiking trails of varying difficulty. And the road up to it is scenic and beautiful. It's a favorite nature getaway.
I love this sanctuary. It has multiple trails, one of which has a dock and bench about half way through the mile-long trail. I usually bring a book and read at the dock, with the only interruption being the sweet wild-life that nest in these trails. It's very quiet, and the trails are easy to navigate. *Watch out for small orange lizards, they're easy to miss while walking be careful not to step on them :)
