If you’re looking for a longer but leisurely hike check out Boulder Mesa trail - it’s 13.2 mi each way so you can cover as much of it as you like or head back at any point . Beautiful views!

Parking fee required. Great option if Eldorado Canyon State Park is full as you drive right past it on the way - or just in its own right, it's gorgeous. Some small picnic areas at the start, with a small creek you can walk down to and enjoy near the start. Great hiking too. Unbeatable views of the flatirons.

Lots of hiking trails from here. This trail will take you up to Shadow Canyon which you can reach the top of South Boulder Peak and Bear Peak.

10 minutes away. Extensive trail system with great views. Easy to moderate hikes. You also have the access to Bear Peak from the south side via the Shadow Canyon trail. Parking costs $5 for not-locally-registered vehicles, and can be quite limited on weekends or holidays.
