Open week days 2-4pm. Its a very informative interesting place. Arrive early. During school holidays they do very enjoyable craft activities for the school children on a Friday and provide lunches for the children, a cheese sandwich, a banana, a bottle of water, a yogurt and a packet of cheese let’s. You drop off the children and collect them a few hours later. There’s a 1970s exhibition on currently. The local historian gives speeches here about local news. Currently talking about the big moors fires. They were dreadful, 5 minutes outside and my eyes were streaming, my throat sore and constricted. Helicopters constantly overhead dropping tonnes of water from the reservoirs onto the fires. People with asthma having to leave the area. Anyway the community and moors are now fully recovered. They also do yoga, flower arranging and childrens craft classes. Roger Daltrey, After the fire.
