Old, well kept fort, used in the War of 1812 and Civil War. A nice rice with awesome views of the Gulf and Santa Rosa Sound.

Blackwater River: is great fun for to bring a picnic basket, there are two different rental companies one is adventures Unlimited and the other is Uncle Bobs ( both where you can rent tubes a bus will take you to the top of the river and you float down at your leisure we are a bus will be waiting to pick you up once your float has ended. You can pack picnic lunches bring a cooler stop at Sam bars and have lunch there a rope swings. All good fun!!

If you love to tour forts, learn history and photograph, this is the place for you. Start at the National Seashore visitor center for maps and directions for where to start on this route of your vacation. Kids love it. Bring your camera and lots of water!
