DO NOT MISS THIS! $30 peso entrance fee. We suggest mornings or early afternoon before the heat of the day, but anytime is great. Home of the Temple of Ixchel, the Mayan Goddess. Restaurant on sight as well as shopping. Great views and walking trails along the Caribbean.

Climb the light house and get a unique 360 degree view of the island. Mayan ruins, crocodiles, flamingos, and tons of iguanas will amaze you. Pristine white sand beaches, fantastic off shore snorkeling and boat tours of the lagoon. Plan on starting early and staying all day.

Punta Sur is the southern tip of Isla Mujeres with spectacular views and cliff side walks, a sculpture garden, the Mayan temple of Ixchel and a fabulous restaurant. In the summer you can see hundreds of sea turtles surfacing for air in the water off Punta Sur, while they engage in the annual battle for life and death during the turtle mating season.
