An easy walk in 425 hectares with spectacular granite formations. The summit at Crown Rock is 1104 metres above sea level. Named by assistant surveyor, George William Evans in late 1813.

Evans Crown is less than 30 minutes' drive from Kilbeggan, just outside the village of Tarana and is a nature reserve comprising 425 hectares with spectacular granite formations. Climb the walking track to the summit at Crown Rock which is 1104 metres above sea level and affords stunning views across the Tarana valley.

You can see Evans crown from Hickory Moon. Why not take a drive and explore the area. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the view from the top of the Crown.
