Scout Valley, with its three interlinking trails, each about 2km long, has provincially significant wetland, a remnant of majestic white pine, two substantial areas of hardwood bush and various landforms. You can even see the shoreline of ice age Lake Algonquin that covered much of south central Ontario and formed much of today's topography.

Sweet little hiking trail, right in Orillia, offering a few different loops. Follow the tags on the trees to help keep track of directions. May run into a little river or cute bridges helping you avoid water.

Encompassing 228 acres, Scout Valley is a trail system that winds through the park’s natural landscape of forest and streams making it a popular destination for passive recreation. The property contains a variety of habitats and is also important as habitat for a variety of animals, including interior forest songbirds. Three loop trails are located on the Scout Valley property – Algonquin Trail, Sugarbush Trail and Homestead Trail. Each 2 kms in distance and starting in separate locations.

A couple access points and some really nice trails in here with varying difficulty. The trails are clearly marked and the terrain is pretty good to hike on. Elev does go up and down in some areas too
