One of the hindu temple dedicated for King Kertanegara. He is the last king of Singhasari Dynasti who become an ancient innisiator to expand Javanese rules teritory outside the island. His idea then become realize by its successor during Majapahit Dynasti. The man in behind the idea of Indonesian Archipelago under one rules. He is died during an internal attack when all his powerful army is at Sumatera Island for a campaign to make Java and Sumatera under his rules. He also a king who dare to challange the Mongol Dynasti in China before his death because of internal rebellion. His successor King Wijaya who create Majapahit Kingdom after his death then become the only Kingdom who can fight against Mongol Expansion in the ancient world. In this temple discovered the most beautifull Prajnaparamita Statue which is now being save at Leiden Museum in Netherland. The immitation is save at the National Museum in Jakarta and a giant immitation was made in the highway road side from Surabaya to Malang before entering Malang City at Taman Kendedes.
