In the heart of Krynica-Zdrój, just off the promenade, the edifice of “Stary Dom Zdrojowy” dazzles like a majestic neo-Renaissance palace. The building was erected in 1889 and visited by such personages as Marshal Józef Piłsudski, Władysław Reymont and Leon Wyczółkowski. Its Ballroom with rich decor hosts elegant concerts, banquets, recitals and balls. In addition to the Ballroom, it also houses a restaurant and a pump room whose water comes from the “Mieczysław” source. Most of the premises serve for the purposes of the spa house.
