If you’re walking around Lake Merritt, stop at PieTisserie, where the owner is known for her pies and her very simple coffee program. They grind the beans right there and hand-pour each individual order—that alone is reason to go. There’s usually a line for pie, which is baked right on-site. They’re only open a few weekdays, and even then, the doors don’t open until 3 pm. Be sure to check the hours before you go.

Looking for a delicious treat? You may want to go by Pietisserie! This bakery sells favorites and fusions that are sure to make your palate sing! Whether a slice or a whole pie, I've not had anything from Pietisserie that I didn't enjoy. Be careful or you may go home with more than just a few souvenirs!

An outstanding bakery. You will rarely read such rave reviews for anywhere, such as "Best pie ever tasted. Customer service is also great!" And "This will be the best pie you ever eat! That's all i can say on the subject. Go here, get addicted. "
