Excellent pub food and atmosphere, the Red Lion in Freshwater, is long standing popular favourite with locals and visitors alike. Great back garden too, so outside dining in the warmer months highly recommended. Just an 8 minute walk from The Bay Cabin. Book during summer.

The Red Lion is a traditional country pub in a quiet, rural corner of Freshwater close to the Causeway making it an ideal venue for cyclists and walkers. The food is freshly prepared using as much local produce as possible & includes a specials board which changes regularly. As the pub is small it is best to book. Open seven days a week from 11am-11pm (10.30pm on Sundays) and the kitchen serves food 12-2.30pm & 6-9pm every day.

Really friendly pub, dogs and children welcome and only a short walk down our track and over the stone river bridge, less than a mile. Also reasonable prices.

This is a late 15th to early 16th century pub, the oldest pub in Southampton and worth the experience. You can also get simple British food here. It's a very local pub as in it's not a fancy bar, it's old and genuine. The interior is just fantastic
