12 miles from The Hub House - a great place to take in the downtown area of Vero Beach including walks along the beach and along the boardwalk -

Location and Access The beach is located at 4200 Ocean Drive in Vero Beach and is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Entrance is free. Parking is also free so you can guess it’s better to arrive early on busy summer days (another reason to do that is the opportunity to get one of the shaded parking spaces). In addition to the park’s parking lot, you can also find parking along Ocean Drive. Facilities Jaycee Park is a well-maintained and family-friendly recreational area equipped with all basic amenities including restrooms, outdoor showers, changing facilities, covered picnic areas with tables and grills – bring your favorite food and have lunch in the fresh air near the ocean! There is a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating where you can eat if you arrive early enough (breakfast or lunchtime). For sports enthusiasts, there are sand volleyball courts. If you have children with you, bring them to the playground with swings and slides in the back area. The beach is ADA accessible – it features ramps instead of stairs. Beach Access The beach is quite narrow and the high tide covers a great deal of the sand area leaving not so much space for plentiful visitors in high season. Overall, the sand is clean but be aware that during the turtle-nesting season, the beach is not cleared of the seaweed so it can accumulate to a considerable amount. The water is clean and clear, blue and green in color – very inviting! For the safety of the visitors, Jaycee Park has an announcement board informing on the current water status and lifeguards on duty from 9:20 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Other Activities There is a long oceanfront boardwalk with measured distances running from the park down the entire length of Ocean Drive, which is a perfect place to stroll, enjoy the ocean views, and watch seabirds flying by (there are plenty of pelicans). It is also good for some beachside exercise.

We love this beach Because it’s simply gorgeous, has a playground and picnic tables, it’s easy to get to, plenty of parking, and a beautiful boardwalk to enjoy even if you’re not wanting to get your toes in the sand.

This beachside park offers a nice boardwalk if you would like to walk along the ocean but might have issues that make walking in the sand uncomfortable (or not- it's a lovely lookout for everyone!).
