Lakes Studio is a sweet little space situated on the border of Newport and South Kingsville in inner West Melbourne. Newport is approx. 15 mins from the CBD via car or train. We are less than 5 mins walk from a couple of cafes, restaurants, a small grocer and laundromat and a short 5 min bus ride from a shopping centre for anything larger you may need. On the doorstep is Newport Lakes precinct, comprising of self guided walks, birdlife, dog walking and great picnic spots.

You will be staying in a seperate guest suite on the property. We are situated on 15 acres. The guest suite is a small compact studio cabin. Consisting of a separate bathroom with shower, toilet, vanity and washing machine. It has a kitchenette with electric stove top, Microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. Fully self contained 1 x double bed Wifi Please note we also live on the property separate to this cabin. There is 2 Airbnb cabins available on our property.

It’s a short walk to Altona Gate Shopping Centre and only about 12 km (7.5 miles) by car from Melbourne CBD. - Parking for two cars is available in the driveway, directly outside the front door. Close to the Maribrynong river, 13 mins walk to Footscray station and 11 mins on the train to the city. Footscray is a thriving suburb of multiculturalism. Just added a smart tv with Free Netflix. Bathed in light from a skylight rather than a window. The studio is upstairs ( 2nd floor) with no lift. I live next door.

You will get the entire bright, two bedroom house on its own block. Six minutes walk to Altona train station and a further 4 minute walk to the beach with Cherry lake at the end of the street. 30 minutes train to Melbourne CBD. House offers lots of privacy and off street parking. Foxtel movies to keep you entertained. Excellent central heating and cooling. Dog friendly. Please, no parties, or you will be asked to leave.
