This Italian inspired bistro/bar has been a local favorite with both families and couples for years. They offer a pleasant ambiance and excellent servers while delivering the good food we have grown to expect. We ALWAYS get the funghi pizza (all are wood fired with a thin charred crust) and split another entrée and an affordable bottle of red wine. It is a perfect walk from the house in the summer. Don't be disappointed if you have to wait. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations.

This old house was retrofitted to house a very chill yoga studio and carioca bowl operation. The bowls are the best in town, but if you are super hungry and want a carb fest, go up the street to Tin Shed.

My opinion. The Best Brunch place on Alberta but you will need to be prepared to wait (esp on Sat and Sun), but you can help yourself to a cup of Joe and/or talk a walk along Alberta to kill some time while you wait for your name to rise to the top of the list. Not only do they allow dogs on their patio and make a mean bloody mary, they serve up some delicious and huge meals-homemade biscuits with freezer jam and creative scrambles with crispy potato pancakes topped with crème fraiche...bring it ON! The amount of food they dish out makes this place a darn good value.

Grant Park is a wonderful old school shaded park with great play structures and swings for grade school aged kids. Look for the Beverly Cleary charecture statues in bronze. Picnic Tables and even a summertime public pool!

There is a great lunch spot right next door and it's close enough to Hood River that you can check out that great little town as well.

New Seasons is similar to Whole Foods, but locally based with a great attitude. The best meats can be found here, at similar prices to the "normal" grocery store. They offer a wide selection of health and delicious premade soups and foods all day, which you can eat there in their dining area or bring home. Nice bakery and great (but pricey) produce. Lots of organic items and good beer and wine selection.

5320 NE 33rd AveNew Seasons is similar to Whole Foods, but locally based with a great attitude. The best meats can be found here, at similar prices to the "normal" grocery store. They offer a wide selection of health and delicious premade soups and foods all day, which you can eat there in their dining area or bring home. Nice bakery and great (but pricey) produce. Lots of organic items and good beer and wine selection.

It also has a nice patio option for nice weather. One of my favorite places to chill out and never disapoints. Opens at 4 or 5. Follow your gps as it is tucked into an alley-ish entrance with little signage directing you from the street.
